The rumours are true! Justin Timberlake has announced that he will be headlining the Super Bowl’s half-time show, which takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 4 2018.

Justin is no stranger to the Super Bowl stage. He performed as part of N’Sync in 2001, however, he is best remembered for his controversial 2004 performance with Janet Jackson, which resulted in an unfortunate ‘wardrobe malfunction’ for Janet.

14 years later, Justin will be making a return to mark his third Super Bowl performance, the most of any individual entertainer. He made the announcement via a funny video with Jimmy Fallon on his Twitter account.

With a mammoth discography under his belt, we’ll be hoping to see Justin perform all the classics including ‘Cry Me A River’, ‘Rock Your Body’, ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ and many more.

A lot of fans are hoping that he’ll do a Beyoncé by reuniting N’Sync for the occasion. Back in 2013, Bey headlined the Super Bowl in New Orleans and performed a few tracks alongside her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Justin recently spoke to Mike Tirico about what he wants to achieve with his Super Bowl performance. “What I really want to do is take the opportunity to put together a performance that feels like it unifies,” he said. “I feel like that would be the ultimate accomplishment. The icing on the cake is at some point within that 12 minutes is that everybody is shaking their booty.”

Justin follows in the footsteps of former performers Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and more.
