It’s official – Katy Perry is the most followed person on Twitter.
Perry claimed the title over the weekend after becoming the first person to amass over 90 million followers!
Twitter congratulated the singer, announcing that “It’s party time, @katyperry! With 90 million on the guest list, we’re gonna need a really big dance floor.”

Perry kept her response short and sweet, but seemed impressed to have reached such a milestone.

Twitter also revealed that the top six expressions used to refer to Katy by her KatyCats in tweets are: [my] queen, beautiful, [the] best, better [than], amazing and [my] spirit animal.
With over 90 million followers to her name, Perry has more followers than Justin Bieber, who has 84 million and Taylor Swift, who has 79 million. Barack Obama and YouTube are the fourth and fifth most followed accounts, with 75 million and 62 million respectively.
