Singer-songwriter and pop music creator extraordinaire KELLA returned yesterday with another feel-good bop. Her latest release is titled “Boys Like You” and lets the L.A. based artist reveal her more vulnerable side to us.
“Boys Like You” deals with KELLA finding a seemingly perfect guy and struggling to accept and enjoy this happiness, for it might have consequences or not last as long as she hopes.
Talking about the inspiration behind the new track, the singer reveals that she has “been in my fair share of failed relationships in the past. When I finally met a guy who checked all the boxes, it felt too good to be true. Everything inside of me wanted to run away, but I couldn’t. It was terrifying but was the most freeing experience of my life.“
“Boys Like You” proves why no one does pop just like KELLA: it’s an easy-breezy summer song, filled with hand claps, an anthemic chorus and a melody that gets stuck in your head immediately.

“Boys Like You” was released on Friday via Kella Music. It was written by KELLA herself, Eric Straube, Chris Qualls and Johannes Andersson. The latter also handled the production.
