Kelly Clarkson Signs with Atlantic Records

Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson has signed a new record deal with Atlantic records. Clarkson has been signed to Sony’s RCA since winning American Idol in 2012. The singer announced her new deal with atlantic on Friday. The record deal is a worldwide, long term deal with her first album off the new label being released in 2017.

Clarkson has been a fan favorite since her win on American Idol and has multiple number one singles, seven albums, and three Grammy Awards. The singer announced her move via Instagram and Twitter, stating that this was a new era for her.

Besides announcing her new label, Clarkson has uploaded covers with everything from Etta James to Radiohead to celebrate. Fans can rejoice that Kelly isn’t going anywhere and will have her voice to look forward to in the mean time.
