BBC Radio 2 has always been a strong supporter of Country Music and regularly supports both rising and international talents such as Ward Thomas, The Shires, Catherine McGrath, Shania Twain, Lady Antebellum and many more thanks to the huge success of Bob Harris’ Country show on the station.
Their huge festival at Hyde Park also sees a number of Country artists taking to the stages; Both Ward Thomas and The Shires have performed multiple times while in 2017 Shania Twain used the festival as a springboard for her massive musical comeback after 15 years away from the industry due to health issues.
And this year BBC Radio 2 will once again celebrate the genre which is the fastest growing in the UK with a hugely anticipated performance from Grammy nominated superstar Kelsea Ballerini. The exciting news that the crossover multi-million selling artist will be taking to the Hyde Park stage was confirmed by the radio station this morning (June 5th) .
