It has now been ov er a week since former NBA star, Lamar Odom, was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas after a drug overdose. Ex-wife and reality star, Khloe Kardashion, who has not left his side following the four day coma speaks out for the first time since.
Khloe Kardashian wrote the following statement on her website and app:
“The past week has been incredibly difficult. I’m so thankful for family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!
Although Odom has awoken from the coma and has been breathing on his own, his kidneys are reportedly failing and recovery is a long way yet. According to sources a kidney transplant may be necessary and further tests on the brain are being carried out.
Despite the youngest of the Kardashian sisters filing for divorce from Odom over a year ago, their marriage still remains as several divorce papers have yet to be signed and confirmed on Lamar’s behalf. Khloe who has been dating James Harden – also a basketball star – for several months now, has apparently put the relationship on hold as her entire focus has been on Lamar. Could this lead to a possible relationship reunion for Khloe and Lamar after a hopeful recovery?
