Kid Cudi is Releasing a Double Album This Month

Kid Cudi announced on Monday that he is dropping a new 2-disc album within the month of September.

The release is a follow-up album to 2015’s Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven. He previously stated in June that the upcoming project would turn into a double album. Just last month, he tweeted that he finished working on the album, showing his gratitude for his fans. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always showing me love and support,” he tweeted. “Overwhelmed as always by you all. Can’t believe were here.”

Despite the competition between major music streaming sites, Cudi said the 18-track project is going to be available on “ALL PLATFORMS for streaming and download.” The physical copy is to follow shortly after the digital release. The 2-disc format is due to it being 18 tracks and almost an hour and a half in length.

The Cleveland, Ohio native encouraged his fans to purchase the physical album. “Music shouldn’t be a headache to find especially in a digital space,” he tweeted. Check his entire announcement below:

On August 27th, Cudi performed in Washington D.C. at the Trillectro Music Festival. He surprised the audience when he performed a brand new song on stage, and surprised they were.

Music mogul Pharrell produced the new tune. Watch Kid Cudi debut his new song here!
