KPOP: Five Songs That Will Make You Love It

KPOP is officially taking over the music scene.

After PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style‘ took the world by storm back in 2012, Korea’s acts have been climbing up the charts ever since.

CelebMix have compiled a list of five of the best KPOP songs to get you to fall completely in love with the Korean music scene.

BTS – Fire

Arguably the biggest KPOP act at the moment, BTS are in their prime. Their catchy songs with powerful lyrics are guaranteed to keep you hooked. ‘Fire’ has become one of the group’s most popular songs for all the correct reasons; it’s about having fun and not caring what others think. BTS are also the first Korean act to chart on the Billboard Top 200 for more than one week and have the highest charting album by a Korean act with their album ‘WINGS’, proving their global popularity.

GOT7 – Hard Carry

‘Hard Carry’ cemented GOT7 as one of the the biggest groups in Korea last year. The heavy beats and chant-like chorus leave it stuck in your head for days. GOT7 have also become popular internationally, touring in North America in 2016.

The newest KPOP girl group who have taken the industry by storm is the fierce four-piece ‘BLACKPINK.’ Their debut track ‘Boombayah’ not only landed in the top 10 in Korea, but shot straight to number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. The song is catchy with an infectious beat and impressive rapping skills from these Rookies.

EXO – Monster

‘Monster’ is a sensual filled song that will not leave your head from one of the most successful groups within Korea. EXO are known for their flawless choreography alongside their irresistibly good songs that have solidified their place in the KPOP scene.

Red Velvet – Dumb Dumb

This. Song. Will. Never. Leave. Your. Head. Red Velvet are the KPOP Queens of having the most catchy songs with adorable dance routines to match. ‘Dumb Dumb’ is the perfect match of slightly corny but in the best way possible.
