Krysh brings Mecca onto grungy single ‘Wrongworld’

Up-and-coming producer Krysh continues to turn heads with latest single ‘Wrongworld’.

Bringing in vocalist Mecca who layers “Don’t steal my energy, no you’re not a lover, just an enemy “, over Krysh’s unique blend of crunchy production, ‘Wrongworld’ sees the two worlds collide somewhere between Flume and BANKS in its moody electro-grunge.

Written alongside Liz Gavillet, who played a role on Krysh’s ‘Headspace’ (which has surpassed 11,000 Spotify streams alone in a few months), she named the duo “some of the most talented and authentic musicans I know” upon release. Gavillet isn’t the first to pick up on the rising Sweedish star either, with the likes of Charli XCX spinning his tracks on Beats 1 as well as fans in PC music heads A.G. Cook and umru.

Speaking to CelebMix in his first ever interview this February, Krysh spoke of his desires to work on a bigger project for his “tryna push boundaries” sound when the time came.

“I’m not working on a larger project at the moment, however I’d love to if the right label signed me. However, it would be very important for me that the label would let me do my thing and not put me in a box. I’m also working on some collaborations, with both producers and vocalists.”

‘Wrongworld’ is streaming now. Let us know your thoughts @CelebMix on Twitter.
