Earlier this week, Kylie Jenner announced that she had given birth to her baby daughter. Not only did she break the internet with the news, but she also broke an Instagram record in the process.
Kylie took to Instagram on Tuesday night to reveal her daughter’s name. Simply captioned Stormi Webster (Webster being the real surname of her partner Travis Scott), Kylie shared a picture of her baby girl holding on to her finger. At the time of writing, the photo has racked up just short of 15 million likes.

This means that Kylie now holds the record for the most-liked photo on Instagram. She overtakes Cristiano Ronaldo’s announcement of the birth of his fourth child (11.3 million) and Beyoncé’s iconic twin pregnancy reveal (11.2 million).
Kylie’s initial pregnancy/birth announcement has also made its way into the top five most-liked photos with 10.3 million likes. It sits just behind fourth placed Selena Gomez, whose kidney transplant announcement post was liked over 10.5 million times.
Whilst rumours surrounding her pregnancy had been rife for months, Kylie decided to keep it private between herself and her close friends and family in order to fully enjoy the experience. When announcing the birth of Stormi, she said: “My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how.”
