This year’s Oxford Street Christmas Lights will be switched on by no other than Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue!
Kylie tweeted her excitement after the official announcement was made:

The Switch On will be hosted by PANDORA with Capital on Sunday 1st of November and will be presented by Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon.
Joining Kylie Minogue, who is releasing a Christmas album in November, on the star studded line up will be last year’s X Factor winner and runner up, Ben Haenow and Fleur East. Also performing will be Foxes, Gabrielle Aplin and the cast of Matilda the Musical.
The Switch On will take place outside PANDORA, Park House at 5:30pm and will also be streamed on three screens along West Oxford Street. The festivities will also be broadcast globally for the first time via Periscope.
Presenter Dave Berry said “This event officially marks the start of Christmas for London. The atmosphere on Oxford Street at the lights switch-on is always fantastic and it is great to be a part of the Christmas countdown once again.”
This year’s amazing display is set to include 1778 baubles and an incredible 750,000 LED bulbs, along with 445 never-before-seen golden baubles inspired by falling snowflakes.
