Lady Gaga is pulling out all the stops. We haven’t heard “Perfect Illusion”, but the world is still going mad.
This morning, Gaga tweeted four lines from the song to give us a taste of what to expect. She typed them out, ending, of course, with the hashtag #PerfectIllusion. Included in the tweet was a collage-like photo, including pictures of her and the handwritten lyrics.
I DON'T NEED EYES TO SEE
I FELT YOU TOUCHIN' ME
HIGH LIKE AMPHETAMINE
MAYBE YOU'RE JUST A DREAM #PerfectIllusion pic.twitter.com/6dzlTrQlrp— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) September 7, 2016
If you look closely at the photos, you’ll notice it hints at a potential music video. The photos in color show Gaga singing directly into a camera, while the black and white pictures show her recording the song.
The teased photos also show her channeling her inner rock star with the poses she uses. Even the lyrics make the song seem upbeat and ready to take off.
It looks like her fans (her Little Monsters) are ready to take off, too, with excitement that is, including pop star Adam Lambert and YouTuber Kingsley.
2 days left until #PERFECTILLUSION drops! How excited are you guys?

A few hours prior to leaking the lyrics, Gaga released the song’s artwork, out this Friday (September 9th). She changed her entire twitter layout to prepare for this new era of her sound.

It’s been almost three years since we’ve had new music from Lady Gaga (aside from her jazz collaboration, Cheek to Cheek, with Tony Bennett), and we couldn’t be more ready for what Mother Monster has in store.
