While the next season of celebrities on “Dancing With the Stars” has been announced, there is one new dancer who we are pretty excited to see take the stage. Laurie Hernandez, one of the Final Five of the American gymnastic girls team, will be gracing our TV screens this season.
It is tradition to have a celebrity throw out the first pitch at major league baseball games. This game honored gold medalist, Laurie Hernandez who did a very impressive flip before throwing the ball to the catcher. Her first pitch at the Nationals vs. Mets baseball game definitely deserves a medal!
Laurie was interviewed during the game. She stated, “there’s a lot of teamwork that goes on between all of us and we just constantly remind ourselves, look pretend it’s just a simple competition. You know, lower the expectations for yourself and just go out there and do what you do in the workout and that’s a constant reminder for all of us and when we have that in our heads our performance is just that much better.”
We’re looking forward to her journey on Dancing With the Stars! Follow her journey with professional dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy on her Instagram!
