Who knew a Rachel Berry and Blaine Anderson reconciliation would bring back feelings we haven’t endured since Glee’s final run back in March of 2015?
Lea Michele and Darren Criss dedicated time during a recent hangout to nostalgically perform what was once their first ever song together, The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me.” In the video, the pair are seen sipping red wine to honor the season two episode their cover initially appeared in.
Not only did the former co-stars revisit a popular fan favorite, they played some of their new music as well. In additional visuals, Michele debuted “Getaway Car,” the latest single from her sophomore album Places, slated for release at the end of April. “Getaway Car” is also the 30-year-old’s way of continuing to honor her late on-and-off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith.
“We used to just get in the car and drive sometimes. Me and the tall guy. It was like our getaway and it was so great,” Michele recently shared with fans during an intimate show at L.A.’s Hotel Café. “Everything was getting big and popular with Glee and it was sort of our escape.”
As their final impromptu performance, the duo tackled an acoustic rendition of “Lost Boys Life.” This is a track off of Criss’ debut EP with Computer Games, a two-man band which consists of him and older brother Chuck.
“What’s great about being with Chuck is that this is something we are both proud of. We share this endeavor,” Darren spilled to Entertainment Weekly about their fresh project.
The actor has also reunited with Glee creator Ryan Murphy for a role in season three of Murphy’s anthology series American Crime Story.
