Lido is back after the success of his critically praised “3 Million” released back in July. Lido just released his new song “Corner Love” and it is something definitely worthy of taking the time to listen to.
The song features Norwegian artist, Unge Ferrari, the track further pushes and shows off Lido’s flawless production styles and marks the first piece of new collaborative material from the duo following the producer’s work on Ferrari’s album last winter.
Lido and Unge Ferrari (which means “young Ferrari” in English) are old friends from the same circle in Oslo. They rekindled their friendship when NRK (national Norwegian TV) brought them together for an interview where they were challenged to create a song using a Kazoo as a key element. The two have worked together on multiple projects since, including the most recent “Corner Love.” Unge’s verse in “Corner Love” is in Norwegian- which was important to Lido to help give homage to his roots.
Quote from Unge Ferrari: “Me and Lido finally got back in the studio together in early 2018 to work on a secret project. But in the middle of it all…out of the blue…we ended up doing this beautiful song together. It’s always an honor to get to hang out with Lido, and an even greater honor to contribute with a verse.”
This latest release comes on the heels of what has already been a very busy year for Lido. Most recently he played an energetic 40-minute set to a crowd of thousands at this year’s Lollapalooza which brought out guests J’von and Towkio. That same week he headlined Chicago’s Lincoln Hall where he was joined on stage by superstars Jaden Smith and Chance The Rapper, who’s latest collection of songs “Work Out”, “Wala Cam”, and “65th and Ingleside”, were produced by Lido. Last June, he released the highly acclaimed 7-minute project ‘kidsloveghosts,” a re-imagining of Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s latest collaboration ‘Kids See Ghosts,’ hailed by Dancing Astronaut as “stunning” and “masterful.”
