Following their shock split earlier this month, former Only The Young members Parisa, Mikey, Betsy-Blue and Charlie have all been focusing hard on their solo projects. The band’s break up left many fans shocked and upset, but it seems like there are much bigger things on the way for the former X Factor finalists. Here’s a look at what they have been up to since the band’s split:
Mikey Bromley
Not wasting any time at all, Mikey has not only announced that he is releasing a solo album in February but he’s also going on a solo tour to tie in with the album promotion. Tickets are on sale now, with general admission only £14 and VIP only £39.50, this might be a good idea for an inexpensive Christmas present!
Charlie George
If you do go to see Mikey on tour next year, you’ll see Charlie there too doing a solo set. The singer-songwriter is going on the road with this Only The Young bandmate, so you’ll get two for one value! Outside of singing, Charlie has started his own company called Mix Magic Tours which offers VIP and business travel needs. He has also uploaded a vlog to YouTube where he states that he wants to take some time to focus on music production rather than being in the spotlight.
Parisa Tarjomani
Parisa has also been in the studio recording her own music, but she hasn’t yet told us when she plans to release it. She has posted a few covers on her social media including her own version of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’. Parisa has also been using her time to raise awareness for an anti-bullying campaign in partnership with Vodafone UK and Snapchat.
Betsy-Blue English
She’s certainly been busy with tweets teasing about being in the studio, jetting off to LA, as well as having time to go back and visit The X Factor with boyfriend, and former Stereo Kicks member, Casey Johnson! Betsy’s main focus though is on fashion and she runs her own blog – itsthursdaytho.com – in which she recommends stores, products, and clothes that she loves.
