YouTube star Lilly Singh, aka IISuperwomanII, has partnered up with Smashbox for an exclusive shade of red liquid lipstick called “BAWSE”. And what exactly is a “bawse”, you may ask? Lilly Singh herself defines the word as: “A human being who exudes confidence, turns heads, reaches goals, finds inner strength, gets hurt efficiently and smiles genuinely – because they’ve fought through it all and made it out the other side. The double-handed praise emoji was created for them.”
One shade of 20 in Smashbox’s Always On Liquid Lipstick line, the matte lipstick is said to be long-lasting and comfortable, perfect for someone too busy working hard and slaying life to touch up their makeup! It has already made multiple appearances in Lilly’s Instagram pictures, where commenters were desperate to know which shade of red lipstick Lilly was rocking.
Lilly contributed to the design of the packaging, which adheres to the theme of empowerment featuring phrases like “make a statement”, “exude confidence”, and “find inner strength”. Lilly stated she was excited to collaborate with Smashbox because the brand promotes empowerment and authenticity, traits that Lilly also conveys in her YouTube channel.
2016 has already been a huge year for Lilly with the release of her YouTube Red documentary “A Trip to Unicorn Island”. She has also been a guest on the Jimmy Fallon show, appeared on numerous billboards in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles, and announced cameos in the upcoming films “Bad Moms” and “Ice Age: Collision Course.” We are so proud of her achievements already and can’t wait to see what she has in store next!
