Linkin Park have announced a special concert etitled Linkin Park and Friends Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington. The concert is set to take place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on Friday, October 27, 2017.
The band will be joined by other artists to honor the incredible Chester Bennington, who tragically passed away on July 20. Since the initial concert announcement, several artists have come forward to announce that they will be a part of the event. The artists that have been confirmed so far include:
- M. Shadows and Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold
- Oliver Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon
- Jonathon Davis of Korn
- Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan of System Of A Down
- Blink-182
- Machine Gun Kelly
- Ryan Key, formerly of Yellowcard
- Kiiara, featured on Linkin Park’s single “Heavy”
Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch was also forgiven by Linkin Park for his comments on Bennington’s death after apologizing for his outburst emotions. You can read Welch’s clarification on his comments from his Instagram post below:
