Written by Henry Byrne, Leo Hamric, and Lisa Louise Curtis, whilst it was produced by Lisa Curtis and Patrick McMakin, “No Rest” is a track that was born out of the 2020 lockdown and the pandemic which went on to create isolation difficulties for many, and this track delves in deep into the loneliness that was experienced. On top of that, everything felt like it was at a standstill and so there’s also the pressure of trying to further one’s career, and Lisa Curtis has used all this pent-up emotion and plunged it right into this song. Giving alternative pop-rock energy, this singer-songwriter showcases her introspectiveness and frustration that many people will be able to relate to. This is wrapped around a powerful backing track that is full of guitar chords and drum beats, with all the instruments bringing some experimental pop-rock with awesome defining guitar riffs and drum rhythms that bolster the meaning behind the song.
