Pop superstar Justin Timberlake and Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick not only play Branch and Poppy in DreamWorks’ new animated movie Trolls, they have also collaborated on the upcoming soundtrack. If the film was not initially on your to see list this fall, hearing Timberlake and Kendrick’s angelic cover should easily change your mind.
The two gave a mesmerizing performance of “True Colors” at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, but their official cover can now be streamed on Spotify.
Timberlake served as executive producer of the movie’s soundtrack, which features five original songs, in addition to classic hits from the 60’s to 80’s. His dance single and one of this year’s biggest tracks, “Can’t Stop The Feeling” is also included on the record.
Trolls hits theaters on November 4. Other stars of the film include James Corden, Gwen Stefani, Zooey Deschanel and Icona Pop.
