Just when we thought we couldn’t love the Little Mix ladies any more than we do, Leigh-Anne and Jade give us even more reason to, by supporting Comic Relief in a huge and once in a lifetime opportunity.
Both Jade and Leigh-Anne will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief. The ladies will be joined by other celebrities such as Danni Dyer and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas.
The ladies have already begun the the training for what will be a track of life time, and will see them have to overcome some really tough conditions such as freezing night time temperatures and altitude sickness as they make their way to the summit.
The trek will take 8 days and will be filmed and shown on BBC 1 as part of the lead up to Comic Relief.
Both Jade and Leigh-Anne are no strangers to supporting Comic Relief, having supported the charities sister initiative in 2014, releasing a charity single Word Up.
And visiting Liberia to see just how the work the charities do.
Speaking about the up coming trek Jade said:
“Leigh-Anne and I went to Liberia in 2014 for Red Nose Day and we have seen first-hand how much work this incredible charity does and how much it is needed. The nerves are certainly starting to kick in for the climb, but I’m lucky I will have Leigh-Anne up there with me and I can’t wait to get stuck in with everyone!”
Leigh-Anne added: “It’s so amazing to be part of this challenge for Comic Relief. I can’t wait to get to the top of Kilimanjaro and knowing that we are doing it for Comic Relief makes it incredibly special.”
Red Nose Day 2019 will be broadcast live on BBC One from 7pm on Friday 15 March.
Are you as proud of Leigh-Anne and Jade as we for agreeing to do this once in a life time challenge to raise money for Comic Relief? Let us know your thoughts at @CelebMix!
