Little Mix recently wowed everyone with their epic performances at V Festival this past weekend. Their high-energy presence, revamped choreography and impressive vocals truly stole the show. If this was not already exciting enough for Little Mix fans, the girls also dropped some news about their upcoming music!
In some backstage interviews at V Festival on Sunday, the girls revealed that the lead single from their new album has already been selected! They have been in the studio non-stop, writing and recording new music. We also have been given a bit of a timeframe for when we can look forward to some fresh tunes. Jesy said that we will hear the lead single in October, and Jade said they would like to get the album out before the end of the year. Little Mix have been dropping hints here and there about LM4 for months, so it’s great to finally have some specifics!

They also said that the fourth album will have “even more girl power”, and will contain “dancier” songs with fresh production. Once again, they mentioned some possible collaborations that are “in the pipeline”, but gave no hints as to who could top Sean Paul’s awesome feature in Hair. We’ll just have to keep guessing!
It was also announced today that Little Mix will be performing at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on October 23rd, along with Jess Glynne, The Vamps, Shawn Mendes, and DNCE! With this event being in late October, it’s very likely that the lead single could be released before or on this date. So, it is possible that Little Mix will be performing their new single for the first time at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards!

Another opportunity for Little Mix to promote the new single would be at the MTV Europe Music Awards, on November 6th. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Mixers are really rooting for the band to perform at the EMAs. It would be a perfect large scale event for the new single to get more exposure, and to create more hype for the album coming later in the year.
