After suddenly getting sick this weekend, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards was forced to miss a concert on Saturday, September 23rd.
A representative for the group told the Daily Mail, “Perrie was taken ill overnight and had to go to hospital with gastric problem. She saw a doctor and was sadly unable to perform.”
The group was set to take the stage at the iHeartRadio Festival presented by CapitalOne in Las Vegas, but after Edwards’ sudden illness, the remaining members – Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – were forced to perform as a trio. They sang a total of two songs – “Wings” from their 2012 album DNA, and “Touch” from their most recent album Glory Days, which they released in November of last year.
In a video posted to the iHeartRadio Twitter account, the girls stopped by the iHeartVillage for a quick interview, where they were asked about Edwards’ disappearance. “She’s not feeling very well,” Nelson answered, with Pinnock and Thirwall adding that “she’s resting.”
