Since it’s December debut, Louis Tomlinson and Steve Aoki’s ‘Just Hold On’ has been an unstoppable force as it’s climbed the charts, grown in popularity, and solidified it’s place as a staple to music history. Not only is it the first song Louis Tomlinson has been a part of since One Direction began their hiatus, it’s a mixed genre piece that sends a message to keep going, to never give up even if the road you’re on seems impossible.

Today, bpi music revealed that ‘Just Hold On’ has officially gone silver! This isn’t just a show of the incredible tune, it’s Louis’ first award as a solo musician and he gets to share in it with Steve who has become a best friend to him over the past few months.

Fans made a huge push to get ‘Just Hold On’ to the top of the charts for a few reasons. The first, was because the song is incredibly important to Louis, especially after the loss of his mother. The second, is that he was one of the most underrated people in music for some time, so much so that he didn’t even have the confidence he deserved in himself. They wanted the world to see the talent Louis possesses, they wanted to remind Louis himself of how powerful he is. The third, the song is just a banger and it is hard to stop listening to it once you’ve heard it for the first time. Steve gave a lot of himself to the tune as well so it was also very important to make sure he received the recognition he deserves.

The hard work of fans across the world definitely paid off and there’s no greater gift than that, especially when it comes to two people who deserve so much.

The pair have been doing promo in Los Angeles this week for ‘Just Hold On’ so the news of the tune going silver couldn’t have come at a better time.

Congratulations Steve and Louis, you deserve it.
