Unless you’ve been hidden away from all forms of communication for the past few months, One Direction have released their incredible fifth album Made In The AM, and their last before their upcoming hiatus.
With the break coming closer and closer as the days go by, fans are becoming more anxious of this, but the album holds such significance for them for multiple reasons.
They have only grown stronger.
Whether people admit it or not, after Zayn’s departure in March this year, it was a worry if they would be as strong without him… If anything, Made In The AM shows One Direction at their best. Their music has progressed from teen-pop/bubblegum pop, to comparisons with musical legends such as Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles.
The album holds honesty.
Despite the boys having many writing credits on the last three albums, they have never gotten as personal as this. Songs such as “If I Could Fly”, “History”, “A.M”, and “Long Way Down” display their vulnerability and importance of having each other’s support.
This. Is. Not. The. End.
After the toughest year that these four could have had, they have still remained strong within the band. Made In The AM is created from the band’s own anxieties, whether it be relationships, or the band’s future. But shouts of “This is not the end, this is not the end, we can make it you know it” and “It’s not the end, I’ll see your face again” across the album reassure fans that they will see their heroes together again, in stadiums filled with thousands of other fans.
They will be home soon.
