Maggie Lindemann is back with new single ‘Knife Under My Pillow’, which is her first release of 2020.
The track which is her debut release via Caroline Records is a fierce pop-punk edged number which is a step away from the sound fans are used to hearing from the singer. Flaunting a high-energy chorus, the track sings of the paranoia and fear Maggie faced living at a past house; “Sorry, I don’t mean to freak you out, But I hear someone inside my house“. The track tells of her fear and self-doubt over whether it was all in her mind or whether it was real life which led her to sleeping with a knife under her pillow.
Speaking of the track she explains: “I started watching horror movies at a super young age which I think is what probably sparks this fear in my brain. When I was a little kid my biggest fear was being kidnapped. But I swear to you there was something going on in this house I was living in. I actually really did start sleeping with a knife under my pillow.”
‘Knife Under My Pillow’ is taken from her forthcoming 2021 release, which is yet to be announced and follows previous single ‘Friends Go‘ which also saw the singer experimenting with her sound and collaborating with Travis Barker in the process. We can’t wait to see what next year holds for Maggie Lindemann, if this is anything to go by!
