The Magic Es are a Pop/Rock band from Norwich, UK, and today they have released their debut album titled ‘It Goes On’. The LP follows the release of their three singles ‘Colour Up My World’, ‘Melody Jane’ and ‘Running Scared’, all of which received extensive airplay from hit radio stations including; BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Norfolk, XS Noize and One On One Music.
The band were formed back in 2014 and since their formation they have gained a dedicated fanbase thanks in part to their stellar live shows and increasing media attention. The Magic Es are made up of lifelong and experienced musicians who combined have world tours, top 40 hit singles and a wealth of experience under their belts.
The guys came together after a chance meeting at a wedding led to them finding common interests in the pleasures of classic records and high-octane rock ‘n’ roll. Front-man Pete Thompson explains “We’ve all been playing music for years. Stuart, Phil and I were playing at a friend’s wedding. The gig was in a marquee, which happened to be in Jasper’s garden. It turned out that Jasper not only had a garden fitting for a rock ‘n’ roll wedding; he was also a bass player of some pedigree and in the band Then Jerico. We shared stories about our various musical adventures, influences and aspirations and the band grew quickly from there”.
Their debut LP ‘It Goes On’ contains nine slightly rough-around-the-edges pop/rock tracks and will surely sit well with those who still like their rock ‘n’ roll to sound well-crafted and authentic.
Along with the release of their first album, The Magic Es will also be performing several live shows this May, June and July. Tickets are on sale now!
