We’re only a few days into September, however, Mariah Carey is already gearing up for the festive season. The songstress has announced two UK dates for her ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ tour, which will take place in December.
Mariah will visit Manchester Arena on Sunday December 10, before heading to London’s O2 Arena on Monday December 11. The two shows will be Mariah’s only European dates, and will also be the first time that she brings her Christmas show to the UK. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday (September 8).

Over the years, Mariah has released two Christmas albums, so we can expect plenty of festive fun at her shows. Most notably, she has become synonymous with her monster Christmas hit, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. The 1994 song is one of the best-selling songs of all time, and is 2x Platinum in the UK. Every Christmas, it always reappears in the charts, and as of November 2016, Nielsen SoundScan estimated total sales of the digital track at 3,200,000 downloads.
Back in 2015, Mariah released a children’s book inspired by the song. However, this year sees her going one step further as a film based on ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ is going to be released. The news was announced back in March, and earlier today she shared a first-look at Little Mariah.
The singer stated that “it was a dream come true helping to create this character in my upcoming movie!” The animated film is expected to be released later this year to coincide with the festive period.
