The Grammy Award winning Maroon 5 are back with a brand new single. ‘What Lovers Do’ is the multi-platinum band’s latest offering, and features RnB artist SZA.
As infectious as it is irresistible, ‘What Lovers Do’ is a slick RnB offering which merges Maroon 5’s signature style with SZA’s seductive delivery. The track was written by Adam Levine, Starrah, Dyo, NEIKED and Elina Stridh and produced by Ben Billions and Jason Evigan. ‘What Lovers Do’ could potentially be one of Maroon 5’s best tracks yet, although it is pretty impossible to find a bad song in their discography.
We can expect a music video for ‘What Lovers Do’ very soon. If it’s anything like the videos we’re used to from the band, then we can expect another larger-than-life cinematic affair.

‘What Lovers Do’ is the third track to be taken from Maroon 5’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, and the latest in a string of collaborations for the band. It follows on from the huge ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, which has nearly 320 million YouTube/VEVO views, and the hypnotic ‘Cold’ featuring Future, which has garnered over 236 million Spotify streams.
Earlier this year, frontman Adam joked with fans at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards that the band’s “final album is coming out in November”. He then added, “I’m just kidding. Man, I’m joking. We are never gonna go away!”
Maroon 5 are currently on tour. They’re due to perform in Aspen, CO at Aspen Snowmass JAS Experience before headlining Rock N Rio in Rio De Janeiro on September 16. By the time they bring their world tour to an end in September, the band will have played more than 120 shows in over 30 countries.
