In a recent video clip, Martin Garrix opened up to fans through an Ask Me Anything session. From his relationship status, to future merchandising. Not a single question was left off the table.
Garrix, who recently supported Justin Bieber on the Australian leg of his Purpose tour, spilled on what it was like being on the road with the pop sensation.
“The fun thing about this tour is I have no idea what to expect,” the producer explained. If I do a Martin Garrix headline show, I know it will be lots of Garrix fans etc. But, this time I was nervous. Like shit, it will only be lots of Bieber fans. They’re only waiting for Justin Bieber. I did the first song in Perth and the moment I dropped my first song, the energy the crowd gave us, it was super crazy. The entire tour was super fun, and maybe again in the future.”
Garrix also revealed that he currently has a special someone in his life and keeps his family close when traveling, holding them responsible for his humility. The 20-year-old is in the process of launching a merchandise store as well, but believes “good things take time” and isn’t rushing the process.
On Friday, the “In the Name of Love” hitmaker will be dropping a pair of new tracks. One of those two include a stripped back rendition of “Scared To Be Lonely” featuring Dua Lipa, who recorded a fresh set of vocals for the orchestra-tailored version. The second single is rumored to be his forthcoming collaboration with Brooks titled “Byte.”
