Matt LeGrand is a 22-year-old singer and songwriter who was born in France, but moved to Chicago with his family at the age of seven. Living in Chicago, his musical abilities flourished and he soon found himself learning to play guitar, drums, and writing songs. Listening to Matt’s music, you can hear musical styles similar to Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber, but the end result is all Matt LeGrand.
Two years after the release of his debut single “Spring Break Girl”, Matt released his new video for “All Good”, written by a team in Atlanta.
Matt told The New Nine, “I like to think that the song found me. It came to me at a time in my life where everything it was saying just made so much sense to me…. The song’s about being OK with yourself.” He told Vents Magazine that he aimed to explore a Caribbean feel to the song, like “when Drake does is island vibe records.”
Watching the video for “All Good” that was filmed in Miami in just one day, you get a Caribbean beach-y themed feel. Throughout the video you see Matt and his “girlfriend” breakup, but he’s seen working on himself and his own happiness, dancing on the beach as he sings, “Since you walked up out my life, I’m all good.” After all, you should always make sure that YOU are happy, no matter what life throws at you.
