A good quality camera can cost you hundreds of dollars, but with VSCO you can start taking professional-looking pictures immediately! The best part? It’s completely FREE. All of your friends will be asking you how you got your pictures to look so good.

    What exactly is VSCO?

VSCO is a photography app that allows you to take pictures, edit, add filters, and share them with friends either through VSCO or on other social media sites. It is available to download now on both the App Store and Google Play.

To get started, all you have to do is download VSCO on your phone, open the app, type in your email and password, and there – your account is ready!

    Presets

VSCO has an in app store where users can purchase presets. Presets are tools and effects that will make your pictures look clean, beautiful, and most importantly, professional.

In honor of the Lunar New Year, VSCO is collaborating with Shangai-based creative platform Neocha. The company celebrates culture and creativity in Asia, and together with VSCO, they introduced a special preset for the Chinese New Year. The preset – Neocha x VSCO – is described as “subtle and warm with an emphasis on reds, oranges, and yellows.” The preset is inspired by temples in Siem Reap, street fashion in Seoul, and skyscrapers in Hong Kong.

The colors perfectly align with the Chinese holiday, as red symbolizes good luck, orange happiness and prosperity, and yellow with luck and royalty.

The app has created a community full of diversity and originality that proves that anyone, anywhere, can be a creator. So don’t stress if you’re new to taking pictures. VSCO has the tools to help you become a pro in no time!
