From her very first audition, it was clear that Janice was something of a superstar. She’s the only X Factor contestant this year to have already had a singing career, having had a hit single called Dreamer back in 1995. The singer, from Garfield, New Jersey, is now fifty years of age. Her audition performance was electric and was no doubt one of this series’ highlights.
Janice also impressed the judges at the Six Chair Challenge, securing a seat and making it through to the Judges’ Houses. Of course, this year’s show was met with criticism, after it was revealed that the contestants were filmed flying in First Class, only to be taken back to the economy after filming.
At Judges’ Houses, Janice performed an original track called Love Is In The Atmosphere. The single mum, who has two daughters, wowed judge Ayda Field-Williams, and her special guests Leona Lewis and Adam Lambert, showcasing her stunning vocals and raw natural talent.
Last week, Janice made it through to the Live Shows and performed singing Clarity by Zedd ft Foxes. Unfortunately, her performance did not go down well with the general public, and she was left in the bottom three but secured her place through to the second week of Live Shows after singing her own version of The Climb. Only time will tell how far Janice will get in the competition, but one thing is for sure: she has an incredible talent, and we can’t wait to see more from her!
