*SPOILERS*
Who saw that end coming, huh?
A lot has happened in the fall premiere “Maveth” of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., from finding out about Will’s death to Ward probably turning Inhuman. So what exactly happened?
The entire episode was switching from Earth to the other blue planet, with most of the characters divided between dimensions – Fitz, Culson, Ward and Will (that is, his body at least) on the mystery blue planet and the rest back on Earth trying to get them back. In the previous episode Fitz-Simmons fell for a trap and ended straight in HYDRAs hands. They were both tortured until Fitz agreed to go through the portal to recover an ancient Inhuman (the same creature Jemma faced when running towards the portal to escape the planet). Culson went after Ward but seeing that he was leading his team and Fitz through the portal, Phil just decided to drop by. Literally. Blinded by his revenge towards Ward, he jumped from a jet piloted by Bobby and Hunter and dived straight to the portal, banging his head after he entered. As soon as his team back in S.H.I.E.L.D. was informed about this, they dropped everything and went to get their director and Fitz-Simmons back.

Fitz managed to locate Will and persuaded Ward that he can lead them to the creature and the portal which they would use to return to Earth. Unfortunately though, Will wasn’t who he seemed to be, but rather an impostor, the mystical creature that HYDRA wanted to bring back to Earth, who admitted that he/it took over Will’s body after he had died minutes after Jemma escaped. A lot of fighting later, Culson managed to kill Ward by placing his robotic hand on Ward’s chest until his heart stopped beating, and Fitz defeated the creature by firing some flames at him with a weapon of choice.
They all returned safely, making it in just in the nick of time, and the happy reunion happened. This revealed the first Daisy and Lincoln kiss. So any recommendations for a ship name? We’re thinking Linsy sounds cute, but fans have decided to combine their powers and call them Static Quake and we have to admit it’s catchy (even though most are still stuck on SkyeWard, totally understandable)
However, just when you think all is right in the world, things take a turn for the worse. During the very last few seconds of the episode you can spot Malick fleeing when suddenly a person pops up on the road in front of his car. Ward. Or, maybe (and most probably) the creature from the blue planet took over his body, the proof being Wards face that starts moving in a weird manner.
Now we just have to wait until March 8th to see what’s to come.
