Miley Cyrus Covers “Video Games” by Lana Del Rey

Last Friday (Jan. 8, 2016), Miley Cyrus posted a short cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” to her Instagram, @mileycyrus.

Miley posted this out-of-focus video and captioned, “Weird despo cheesy a$$ instasangin vid lol woke up w dis stuck in my dome ! Thankzzzz for da openin gust of wind #bestfrand #1fan #cleanyoscreenbitch”.

Long story short, Miley had Lana’s Born to Die single stuck in her head, resulting in this slightly blurry (but fine sounding!) 15 second acapella cover. The video may be short, but Miley’s cool and mellow vocals do not go unmissed.

This certainly isn’t the first time Miley has covered a song by Lana Del Rey. The pop star, who released the free album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz via SoundCloud in August of last year, covered Lana’s “Summertime Sadness” at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge in November of 2013.

In other Miley-related news, the singer has purportedly been rekindling flames with actor and ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, spending more time with him to get their old relationship back on track –– and even skipping an LA benefit for the movie “Freeheld” to do so!

How true these rumors are, no one can be too sure; “Miam” may very well be around once again. One can only hope more lovely, lilting Lana covers will, too!

If Miley were to do another Lana Del Rey cover in the future, what song would you wish for? Tweet us your answer @CelebMix or leave us a comment below!
