Brother/sister band The Luck’s latest single ‘Vertigo’ is out of the blocks.
A motivational anthem by all means, the song’s powerful instrumentals and commanding vocals mix together to make a totally inspiring tune.
Taken from the groups debut record ‘Ready To Run’ an album that has made some mammoth achievements including reaching #1 in the UK Country iTunes chart, as well as charting at #13 in the OCC UK Americana chart, ‘Vertigo’ once again showcases the vocal dexterity and lyrical flexibility of this sibling pair.
Speaking candidly about the inspiration behind ‘Vertigo’ Max Luck details a time where the band felt overcome with stress saying “We went through a period where we were just… overwhelmed, we were trying to keep up. We had all these fears and doubts, we felt stuck, but we recognised the feelings, rationalised them and worked through it, channelling negativity into positive energy, to push forward” and so ‘Vertigo’ was born, an up-tempo number that urges us to conquer those moments of fear and insecurity.
Starting with a versatile guitar riff and impactful drum beat, the single is quickly taken up a notch with the introduction of Max’s beautiful and yet commanding vocals. Sister Esmay soon joins the mix and her beautiful tone is simultaneously ethereal and captivating.
For this British Country pair, their 2019 has been a rather hectic rollercoaster to date. Soaring off the success of their breakout album ‘Ready To Run’ and having amassed national reception and over 560k unique viewers with their virtual festival aptly titled ‘The Luck and Friends’. The Luck aim to emulate the success enjoyed by the release of their inaugural album and newest single ‘Vertigo’, all whilst opening for Wildwood Kin on their national tour later this year.
