When some of your favorite groups from your childhood get back together and decide to go on tour together, there’s not much more you could ask for, except for some tickets!
Kicking off this July, you’ll get to see two boy bands; 98 Degrees and O-Town, the girl group, Dream, and solo artist, Ryan Cabrera on the My2K Tour.
My2K is a play on words coming from the term y2k (y=year, k=1000, y2k=year 2000) that many talked about in the late 90s. People wondered if computers would crash and be able to tell the difference between 2000 or 1900 when the year switched from 1999 to 2000. Obviously everything worked out okay and here we are sixteen years later with a clever tour name!
Not to be confused with the MixTape Festival, which these groups and solo artist will also be a part of this summer, the My2k Tour is two months long, while The Mixtape Festival is a one night event, happening August 6. The My2K Tour will begin July 8 in Park City, Kansas and will end on August 28 in Saratoga, California. If these bands were some of your favorites growing up or are still some of your favorites today (they’re releasing new music!), hopefully you can attend one of the tour dates. Tickets go on sale April 29! Visit the website here: My2K Tour
