The air date for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life has finally been announced.

Netflix has given us what we’ve been craving: a glimpse at the return to Stars Hollow and our favourite Gilmore Girls.Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life return date announced 1

In this clip, which has already been viewed over 2.7 million times, we see Lorelai and Rory sat at their kitchen table discussing Amy Schumer of all things. Many an in-depth conversation has taken place at this kitchen table, and this is no different.

Lorelai ponders if Amy Schumer would like her, or if host of Last Week Tonight John Oliver would find her hot.

Charmingly, John Oliver himself responded to the comments in an interview stating, “Lorelai, the answer is yes, I do find you hot. And I’ll tell you why. I’m a red-blooded male with a in-built heat detector and my heat detector registers you as en fuego“. Well of course he did – she’s the best.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will consist of four 90-minute episodes which will look at each season of the year in Stars Hollow.

All of our favourite characters are set to return – Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Emily, Jess, Dean and Logan, amongst others – notably absent will be Lorelai’s father Richard. The actor Edward Herrman sadly passed away in 2014.

The Netflix special will air on 25th November 2016.
