new music round up

New Music Round Up – 04/04/17

Here at CelebMix, we pride ourselves on sharing all the hottest new music and videos with you, from established and up-and-coming unsigned artists. However, with the music scene growing at an astronomically fast pace, it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases week in, week out.

So, we’ve come up with a plan. Every Tuesday, after you’ve had time to digest the #NewMusicFriday releases, we’re going to compile a New Music Round Up, gathering some of the best new song, video and EP releases that we’ve yet to share with you. We’re hoping to bring you even more new music that’s yet to grace your iPod or Spotify playlist – we sure love spoiling you!

Without further ado, here are some of the new releases you might have missed out on this week.

Pixie Lott and Anton Powers – ‘Baby’

Pixie Lott is finally back with a brand new single! Teaming up with DJ Anton Powers, ‘Baby’ is sure to be the next big song on the dancefloor. With an infectious hook and a slick dance beat, we can’t stop bopping along to ‘Baby’. Pixie and Anton performed the song live on The Voice UK Final on Saturday, with Pixie demonstrating some of her best moves. Whilst on the show, The Voice Kids was also given its official welcome, where Pixie will join will.i.am and McFly’s Danny Jones as a coach.

Cheat Codes featuring Demi Lovato – ‘No Promises’

Electronic music trio Cheat Codes have teamed up with one of our favourite female vocalists, Demi Lovato, for their new offering, ‘No Promises’. Cheat Codes have been teasing a collab for a short while, with Demi rumoured to be the guest vocalist. She soon confirmed the news, and we’ve since been treated to this soon-to-be Summer smash hit. Cheat Codes had a huge hit last year with ‘Sex’, and we’re confident that their collab with Demi can achieve a similar success.

HOLDN – ‘Burn’

‘Burn’ is the debut single from HOLDN, who recently revealed her brand new artistic alter ego. HOLDN, aka Gina Petro, has delivered an infectious dark pop track, which has a real air of mystery to it. Of the track, she says: “‘Burn’ is about someone walking out of my life without warning and that person staying within close enough proximity to watch me struggle to stand back up while they continue on as if my pain was non-existent.”

Tyler Sellers – ‘Friend Zone’

Tyler Sellers is the new teen pop prodigy you need to know about. He recently released ‘Friend Zone’, a track we can probably all relate to. The video is suitably fun and tells the tale of Tyler trying to get out of that dreaded friend zone. The song is the lead track from his debut EP, which is due for release on April 28 through FRETMONKEY Records.

‘So Good’ is the debut single from Belgian artist Amery. Co-composed with producer James Lowland, and co-written with James and Amra Dorjbayar, ‘So Good’ is a pop gem infused with RnB. With the song, Amery aims to bring back the butterflies and put a smile on our face.  Speaking about the track, he said: “I want people to get back to that feeling they experienced when they met their first crush or love of their life. I want to bring them back to where it all started.”

Callum Beattie – We Are Stars EP

Callum Beattie is an Edinburgh born and raised singer-songwriter. We Are Stars is his debut EP and consists of ‘Wanderlust’, ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’, ‘We Are Stars’ and an acoustic version of the track. His music is emotionally raw and honest, and Callum weaves in rich, vivid imagery which could be attributed to his synaesthesia – a rare condition he’s long had that means he ‘sees’ music and sounds as colours and shapes.
