You know you are doing everything right when you headline sold-out shows all year long, have your own residency in Las Vegas and produce a track with Wiz Khalifa all in one year. But why not make the next one even bigger? Something like that must have been NGHTMRE’s approach when 2018 came knocking on his door.
For the American DJ, there is no slowing down in sight since today officially marks the debut of his first release in the new year. Obviously, he returns even better than before. The new track is a remix of the ZHU & Ekali collaboration “Blame”, released in November, to be exact. NGHTMRE, also known as Tyler Marenyi, puts his own personal spin on the slightly-more laidback original and according to his social media page, he could not be any happier about having received the chance to do so:
NGHTMRE’s remix is a trap-infused explosion of the best kind and we are absolutely thrilled about it. While keeping the original vocals and the main structure of the melody largely intact, the DJ manages to twist the song into a dancefloor and festival-ready track by adding his signature sound. This remix turns “Blame” into a hard-hitting electronic banger, not only because of the added bassline but also, most importantly, thanks to the absolutely insane drop that will make you go wild, too. For sure.
NGHTMRE’s remix of “Blame” is released via Skrillex’ label OWSLA and is available for purchase or streaming on the platform of your choice. It also arrives as the start of a busy year for the DJ. NGHTMRE will not only be going on tour again but will also play festivals, like Lollapalooza and EDC.
