When it comes to Niall Horan, the first thing that comes to a fan’s mind even before singing is his love for golf. The singer has been an active participant in the sport for years now. But his participation is not just limited to playing.

Last year, Horan did a charity event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens and the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation “designed to fight childhood hunger in the United States”. This time, he aims to promote Masters Tournament Foundation, a foundation that invests in “development programs for golf”.

For his immense contribution in charity works and his dedication towards the sport, Golf Digest has awarded Horan with Arnie Award.

Niall appreciated the honor and paid his gratitude for receiving the awards through a tweet,

I really appreciate it guys. Thank you so much . Arnie was an incredible human and it's a big honour to receive this award https://t.co/H0e6rhBOfM

Niall Horan has spent a major chunk of his time promoting golf amongst young people. He collaborated with his management to launch a boutique agency named Modest! Golf Management to materialize his dream of encouraging and supporting young talent to join golf. As reported by Golf Digest, while talking about boutique agency, Horan said,

“I wanted to get into supporting the next generation of golfers, and obviously I feel myself and my management company, who have a long history of looking after clients and all their needs from schedule planning to corporate deals, are very well placed to do this,” he says.We brought in Mark McDonnell and Ian Watts, who between them have 30 years’ experience in the golf industry, to assist us.”

The singer believes in giving back and he is doing his best to fulfill his promise.
