Niall Horan’s debut solo album, Flicker, has been out for a little over a week and we still haven’t been able to turn it off. From his first solo single ‘This Town’ to unreleased tracks like ‘She’s On The Loose’ and ‘Mirrors’, it’s an album you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a single song.
So it came as no surprise to us that Niall’s album charted at number 1 in the US. Flicker is a very personal look into his life in a way we’ve never been privy to before and it’s something he’s incredibly proud of, and rightfully so.
Niall was humble and extremely grateful for Flicker’s spot on the charts and thanked fans with a heartfelt message on social media.

He also sent a special shout to his band as well as his management for everything they’ve done to allow him to work this album the way he wanted to. He was able to write, to record, to visit friends and family, and to come back to songs he wanted to tweak or ideas he wanted to change. It’s something he was able to do on his own time in his own way. Something he’s deserved for a long time now.
Just hours after the song went to number 1, Nial released an alternate version to his video for Too Much To Ask on Twitter. It felt like the perfect thank you for getting his debut solo album to number 1, and it was another stunning look into the song. It’s emotional on its own but the video serves to make it stick with you even more.
If you’ve not yet seen it, you can check out the alternate version below.
We wanted to send our own congratulations to Niall for his big debut and for the success of the album as fans around the world continue to enjoy his hard work. There’s nothing like being a fan of Niall’s, and we can’t wait to see what comes next for him.
