We’d ‘drive highways and byways’ to watch Niall Horan’s angelic AMAs performance again.
The 23-year-old completely stole the show with his new single, “This Town.” Using an acoustic guitar and story-telling vocals, Horan left both the audience and viewers at home swooning over his new ballad, which debuted at number one on Billboard’s Social 50 chart last month.
The Irish native took to Instagram earlier in the day to showcase his enthusiasm for the annual event.
Fans also used social media to wish him luck and showed their support using the hashtag, #NiallonAMAs.

This evening was the “This Town” singer’s first time performing at the American Music Awards as a solo artist. For the last three years, he has been joined on stage by his One Direction bandmates. As a group, 1D are 10-time AMA nominees and seven-time winners.
This time around, Niall performed “This Town” on a beautifully decorated stage and he did it absolutely flawlessly. But, what else have we come to expect from the mega talent? He is a man of many talents and we feel lucky to be fans of his, especially after a show-stopping performance like that one.
