Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato Bring the Future Now Tour to Louisville, Kentucky

Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are spending the summer traveling North America on the Future Now Tour sponsored by Honda Civic.  From Sunrise, Florida to Los Angeles, California – the pair are exploring the cities by day and performing hits like Jonas’ ‘Close’ and Lovato’s ‘Confident’ to crowded venues by night.  Louisville, Kentucky housed the tour on July 29th and we’re still reliving our favorite moments of the night.

Fans started piling into the KFC Yum! Center around 6:30 after a pre-party outside with local radio stations, giveaways, and music!  The merch tables were stocked full of great keepsakes and as these items were purchased, concertgoers made their way to their seats anxiously awaiting the opening act, Mike Posner.

Posner blew the crowd away with hits like ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’, ‘Please Don’t Go’ and new song ‘Be As You Are‘ which has a really important message from none other than his sweet mother.  The crowd loved Posner just as much as he loved being there and we’re sure this won’t be the last Louisville sees of him.

After Posner’s set, the crowd anxiously awaited Nick Jonas’ move to the stage and when the lights dimmed to precede his arrival, they went absolutely wild, with good reason.  From the moment Jonas stepped on stage to the minute he walked off of it – every second was filled with talent, passion, and a larger than life presence – he owned it.

Jonas took the stage to his song ‘Levels’ before singing hits like ‘Chains’, ‘Difference’, and one of our personal favorites, ‘Bacon’.  He engaged with the crowd during every verse while moving fluidly around the stage, dancing alongside guests, and demanding your attention – not that you’d have given it to anyone else anyway.  Fans held their phones up high, sang along to his lyrics, and cheered so loud you could hear it long after the show was over – it was a testament to how well received his talent is and how dedicated his fans are.

Seemingly a bit too soon, Jonas left the stage and the lights dimmed again, this time, for Demi Lovato’s big entrance, and it was awesome.  Lovato rose to the stage singing ‘Confident’ and looking the part as she made her way across the stage.  She, like Jonas, demanded your attention with her presence and vocals alone, but the entire show was incredible.  The backdrops during her songs, the light show during ‘Neon Lights’ and the way she let her voice resonate with fans when she slowed it down to sing her more heartfelt tunes – she was captivating.

Upon Lovato slowing it down, Jonas came back to the stage to sing a few more songs as well, leaving fan favorites like ‘Chainsaw’ and ‘Jealous’

And if it wasn’t enough alone, the pair absolutely blew fans out of the water when they took the stage to sing ‘Close’.  After their performance together, Lovato finished out the remainder of her songs to a crowd who remained on their feet – no one was ready for the night to end.

The concert did draw to a close, however, and on the way out the door conversations could be heard about how impressed fans were with Mike Posner, Nick Jonas, and Demi Lovato.  Louisville definitely has a welcome mat rolled out for them anytime.
