Nick Jonas Honored By Songwriters Hall Of Fame

People magazine exclusively announced that the former Jonas Brother will be receiving the Hal David Starlight Award on June 9, 2016 in New York City, at the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s 47th Annual Induction and Awards.

Co-Chairs of the Songwriters Hall of Fame Leon Huff and Kenneth Gamble gushed over Jonas “Nick Jonas is one of the brightest and most versatile young talents on the American pop scene, a veteran of recording, television, movies and Broadway success … he has been making his cultural mark in a variety of ways for more than a decade. Nick has literally grown up in public, and that growth is reflected in his songwriting and singing. He is a wonderful choice for the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hal David Starlight Award.” We totally agree!

Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Jason Mraz, Drake, and new daddy to a beautiful baby girl John Legend, have previously been honored with this award.

Jonas has recently been promoting a forth coming album titled Last Year Was Complicated with an SNL musical guest performance over the weekend.

“Close” (Uh can Tove Lo join Nick and Demi Lovato on tour this summer??)

“Champagne Problems” (SUCH A TUNE!)

Nick was also part of sketch titled “Pool Boy”.

Nick had a free not so secret secret show in NYC also this past weekend (he literally tweeted out information about this “secret show” for two days). There he debuted his very much talked of (read “mocked”) song “Bacon”.

“Bacon”

Uh, total jam! Just proves to show, you can jam out to a song about bacon, because Mr. Nick Jonas is a darn good songwriter.

Let us know if you are planning on seeing Nick Jonas join longtime pal Demi Lovato on their Future Now tour this summer is the states (we’re going…multiple times.). Tweet us @CelebMix
