At the time of the Jonas Brothers’ split, it seemed unclear as to why the trio actually broke up. It has been three years since the band called it quits, but Nick Jonas went on to say in Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live that he was ultimately the reason for the band’s break up.
When the Jonas Brothers announced their breaking up in 2013, it began to stir up controversy. Not only were they were set to go on tour, but the reality show Married to Jonas had showed the brothers recording new music prior to.
Kevin Jonas had explained “I think it was time. And for us, it took some time getting there but we feel like it’s time that the Jonas Brothers come to an end.” Many fans longed for closure back then, and seems as though they are finally getting that answer.
During Bravo’s show Watch What Happens Live, Nick opened up about being the reason for the band’s breakup.
It was a very tough conversation, and it left the family kind of shaken up for a little while.
Even though the Jonas Brothers have been broken up for nearly 3 years, Nick and his brothers are doing quite well. Kevin has a family and is soon expecting his second child with his wife, Danielle. Joe, the lead singer of the band DNCE, has had great success with their song Cake by the Ocean. And Nick has just released his third solo album, Last Year Was Complicated. Not too shabby if you ask us!
“It’s good for everybody and it’s good that [the break up] happened because I think we all grew from it”, Nick explained.
The brothers undoubtedly had some great music when a band, but it is exciting to see where their early success has lead them to today.
