A remake of one of your favorite childhood movies is not always easy to accept, however, Nick Jonas might be able to change that negative view of a classic film’s reboot.
First of all, just knowing that Nick could be included in this film makes us excited for a reboot. And even though reboots are not everyone’s favorite, the visual effects of today have come a long way since the 90’s “Jumanji.”
Nick Jonas is the latest celebrity to be linked to the upcoming film and seems to be in good company. In addition, others that have been confirmed for the film include, Jack Black and Kevin Hart. Also, another celebrity confirmed is “The Rock.” He took to Instagram to confirm his involvement in the film.
The original 1995 version of the film starred Robin Williams and played the role of Alan Parrish. “The Rock” wants to make sure that Williams’ legacy remains in the upcoming film. “The Rock” said, “an important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams…You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of ‘Alan Parrish’ will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way.”
Currently, Nick Jonas is in talks to be featured as the role of Alex. While Nick is still not confirmed, we hope to see him alongside the other actors when the film is released.
The film was originally planned to be released for Christmas 2016, however the reboot is now scheduled for a July 28, 2017 release. Filming for the reboot will begin this fall and the filming location is set in Honolulu, Hawaii.
