In light of the recent shooting tragedies and unnecessary, volatile attacks against the lives of black individuals around the globe, Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei and Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, are just one of the few celebrities who have had a word with the whole ordeal.
It’s beautiful to see these women, who have such a huge platform beyond their fingers, to spread awareness about real issues. This issue continues to plague the world and detailing how this kind of hate is mighty prevalent shows the underlying humanity of it all.
On Twitter, Kordei posted a truthful, honest and heart-wrenching post, ending it with a loud statement:
We need more problem solvers of injustice instead of those giving lip service. Injustice has no skin color or boundaries. #BLACKLIVESMATTER

Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock had a more similar approach via Instagram and sole picture. As we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words and this my friends, is worth even more.

Both being in hugely successful girl groups, these two beautiful black women have inspired and continue to inspire their fans around the world as do their respective bandmates.
At this time, what the world needs, is teaching the younger generation that violence does indeed solve nothing. It only ensues more chaos and creates endless trauma. Spreading the roots of knowledge and awareness to our younger counterparts has to be done.
They need to know that the world may hold unfair to them because of societies fractured ways, but that doesn’t mean to simply give up. The fight towards world peace continues and speaking out on these issues and bringing awareness is just one of the key things to do in scenarios like these.
This is real life and every person in the world, regardless of age, must know the truth. The media may not reveal everything to the world, but ladies like Normani Kordei and Leigh-Anne Pinnock assure us that honesty will always be the best policy and most definitely, the key to unveiling the damned society we live in today. Hope still lingers; just continue to spread awareness. The world can change. Use your voice. Be that change and inspire others. It’s never to late.
