Up-and-coming Norwegian indie-pop singer AURORA has blessed us with yet another magnificent song on Friday morning and we at CelebMix could not be any more excited!
Following the release of a handful of already great songs, as well as her highly successful and widely praised cover version of the Oasis song “Half the World Away”- which was used in last year’s John Lewis Christmas advert, the 19 year old singer-songwriter decided to share her latest song, called “Conqueror”, with the world.
With “Conqueror”, AURORA has truly outdone herself. The song is a euphoric, hands-in-the-air, indie-pop-power-anthem which will make you want to dance in pure joy wherever you are. The song, the melody and the foot-stomping drums offer a brand-new side to the usually quiet singer.
In contrast to her previous songs- which were orchestrated beautifully and highly melancholically- this one is full of radiant energy and showcases AURORA in a totally different light. Though still very personal, this single also feels like the perfect introduction into the mainstream world of music as the pop factor is very heavy in this one (which shines through especially during the end minute with the big chorus).
“Conqueror”, as well as “Half the World Away” and her previously recorded songs (such as “Running With The Wolves” or “Runaway”), will be part of AURORA’s highly anticipated debut album “All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend”. The album drops on March 11 and is available for pre-order on all digital retailers either in the digital or in the physical form.
