If the news that the Dublin Duo will cameo in the latest instalment of the Sharknado franchise wasn’t already enough, the pair has announced they have written and recorded the theme song.
Entitled, “Oh Hell No”, in keeping the film’s sub-title, the song will be released world-wide on July 22, to coincide with the first US screenings of the film.
Sharknado 3 stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. The basic storyline of all three films revolves around sharks getting caught up in a tornado and wreaking havoc on US towns and cities. The first took place in Los Angeles, the second in New York, and the third is based in Orlando, Florida, and Washington DC.
Apart from Jedward, who cameo as tourists (“we scream a lot”, says Edward), Sharknado 3 features David Hasselhoff as the father of Ian Ziering’s character, Fin, and Bo Derek as May, the mother of April Wexler, played by Tara Reid.
Jedward also headlined at Blackpool’s Pride Festival this past Saturday, wowing the audience in the Winter Garden’s Empress Ballroom. Tomorrow they head off on what’s become known as their “Jedhug Tour”, meeting up with fans across Europe, who have been asked to meet at various times and airports. So far, the twins have announced twelve countries on the tour, with the possibility of more to come.
